Summary

Solution and enterprise architect with 17 years in software, the last five at Siemens Energy, where I took an enterprise data platform from MVP to enterprise grade and now architect AI integration. I design how LLMs, retrieval and agents plug into the systems a business already runs, with the security, governance and cost model that keeps them in production. Led up to 30 people; still build and ship systems myself.

  • Hybrid retrieval for enterprise data: deterministic filtering combined with semantic search over free-text fields, because business questions are rarely one or the other.
  • Built next to the data rather than copying records into a separate vector store, so existing governance and access control keep applying unchanged.

  • Took an enterprise knowledge-graph platform from MVP to a production system the business depends on: architectural redesign and infrastructure work.
  • Coordinated up to 30 people: a product owner, 2 external architects and 2–3 cross-functional development teams.
  • Source-agnostic design: search, analytics and downstream applications consume the graph rather than the sources it consolidates.
  • IAM and authentication for the platform in a complex enterprise landscape.
  • Established DevSecOps, CI/CD and IaC practices inside existing teams.

Software Engineer → Senior Software Engineer

  • Architected, with colleagues, the integration of 5G network component simulation into the company’s test framework: interfaces, configuration concept and test environment.
  • Led development of a performance-critical message aggregator: Python 3 microservices with parallel workers, integrated with a customer REST API and LDAP. Proof of concept delivered in a very short time, an order of magnitude above the performance requirements.
  • Integrated the Xapian search engine over documents and web content (in production); built a distributed system in C handling hundreds of parallel SIP calls, and an LPP client library from the 3GPP ASN.1 specification.

  • Led test development at scale: more than 1,500 test cases for a kernel-bypass TCP/UDP transport API and about 1,000 for an alternative Linux routing implementation, both released on the strength of that coverage.
  • Extended the test framework to drive Linux network namespaces, virtual interfaces and routing, validating the accelerated stack for containers; co-designed a Django/PostgreSQL platform storing millions of test results.
  • Developed an embedded management system for PON networks in C: core, SNMP modules, CLI. Led a team of up to 7 engineers.

  • Built a multi-tenant AI assistant platform for lead qualification end to end, solo: RAG over per-tenant knowledge bases, a provider-agnostic LLM layer, bot behaviour as configuration rather than code, web, Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram and voice channels, human handover, GDPR by construction, billing and quotas.
  • Operator apps for iOS and Android (React Native / Expo), so the client’s team works inside the platform instead of carrying customer data into personal messengers.
  • Runs live with assistants in daily use on a partner’s site; not yet open to external customers.
